해외여행 비행기표가 결제되면 가장 많이 쓰게 되는 문구이다.

 

Barrier-free, wheelchair-accessible room... 가끔 이 단어가 지겨워지기도 한다.

 

언제까지 여행을 할 수 있을지는 잘 모르겠지만,

미래의 나를 위해서도, 그리고 Google Map에 수많은 호텔 중에서 어디부터 컨택해야 할지 헷갈리는 휠체어를 타는 사람들을 위해 단순하고 간략한 정보를 업데이트한다. 간단하게 호텔 명과 호텔의 답변을 정리했다. 해당 포스팅과 호텔에 컨택한 날짜의 차이 등이 있을 수 있으므로, 정보에 오류가 있을 수 있다는 점을 고려하시길 바란다. 또한 호텔의 숙박요금이 기재되어 있는 것도 있는데 예약 당시의 성수기, 비성수기 유무와 할인 여부에 따라 정확한 금액이 아님을 숙지하여 주시길.

- Deluxe king room with a zip bed
- We only have 2 accessible rooms and those are in the category of the Deluxe king room with a Zip bed
- we can convert to twin bed the Deluxe King zip bed room however, since the location of the room is lower floor it’s not ocean view.

Mantra On View Surfers Paradise   Not Barrier-free
- We only have 1 room in the hotel that is wheelchair accessible and it is located on level 5
- Please be advised that we  have only one of rooms that doesn’t have a bath tub, only shower available. We do have a walk in shower and we can provide a chair where necessary – the shower is more like a wet room bathroom so there is no screen for the shower cubicle. The doorways to the rooms have not been widened so they are a standard size doorway. Toilet seat doesn’t have a handle near by. The bed in rooms are normal height. All unit tops are at the same height as with all our other rooms.

- Unfortunately we do not have actual classified disabled rooms in the property. This may be suitable for a guest who are more independent rather than on a wheel chair.

Q & spa   Not Barrier-free
- The majority of common areas are accessible with the aid of ramps and elevators. Areas not available to be accessed by ramps or elevators are the gymnasium, steam rooms and saunas which is located on the 2nd level of the indoor swimming pool complex and are only accessed by a flight of stairs, all other resort facilities area feely accessable with ramped or elevator options.
* Our Q1 Resort & Spa apartments are extremely large and most have wide access doors and spacious living areas.
* Every spacious ensuite has a large spa bath with a separate flat floor shower with only a small 10mm lip for access.
* As the resort is strata titled the apartments in our letting pool are not currently converted to have the railings or lowered bench tops.
* We are able to add a shower chair or extra equipment for your apartment via a 3rd party supplier (charges apply) please contact our reservations department for options.
